Slekt som dro til det store utland

Mange reiste fra Norge for å finne et bedre liv i et annet land. Fra Geiranger reiste Inga Marie fra Homlong, søstra til Marte og Pernille (Nella) Grande.
Etter hva jeg vet, fikk hun aldri muligheten til å besøke hjemlandet og hjembygda igjen. Hun døde ung og ble gravlagt i USA.
Men hennes barn holdt kontakten med hjemlandet og skrev mange brev til Aunt Marte Grande.

Adriatic - the ship that brought Inga and her husband to the US in the beginning of the 20th century. Most of the passagers travelled on 2nd class.
